Our Story

That’s What She Said Columbia provides a platform for the powerful voices of local women. We aim to create a space where we can celebrate our differences, while also discovering what brings us together - all through the power of storytelling.

In 2023, That’s What She Said Columbia joined the national movement of That’s What She Said. Since then, we’ve created annual shows bringing together over 700 people from across our community to celebrate the contributions of women in Columbia, while raising $8,025 for local charitable causes to date.

2026 Charity Partner

Voluntary Action Center

At That’s What She Said Columbia, we believe in the power of storytelling not only to inspire individuals but to effect positive change in our community. This mission extends beyond the stage and this year we are proudly partnering with Voluntary Action Center to provide essential hygiene products like deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, and body wash for women in need in our community. These essential hygiene products are items that are often overlooked but vital to dignity, confidence, and self-care.

Voluntary Action Center (VAC) is a local nonprofit responding to the immediate basic needs of individuals and families in our community. VAC assists Boone County residents facing hardships by providing resources for basic and emergency needs in aide to overcome hardships and maintain self-sufficiency.

By attending That's What She Said Columbia, you can join us in supporting their mission. Every ticket purchased contributes to building a stronger, more connected Columbia. We invite you to learn more and support Voluntary Action Center in their mission.
